Uncertain, circa 10th century. Amulet (Lead, 51 mm, 34.70 g, 12 h). Uncertain magical legend. Nimbate Holy Rider on horseback to right, spearing demon lying on the ground. Before the rider, attendant standing to left. Rev. Uncertain magical legend. Facing head, serpent heads around. Cf. J. A large and intriguing Byzantine womb amulet. Very fine.

This amulet was intended to keep the womb calm and in its proper place. There are traces of a magical legend on both sides. Usually, these legends have an invocation of the rider or a magical spell directed to the womb.
